One Piece vs One Punch Man is a fan-made 2D fighting game that brings together two major manga and anime universes: One Piece and One Punch Man. Pit the pirates, Marines, and powerful villains of One Piece against the heroes, monsters, and superhuman fighters of One Punch Man. The game features a huge roster of 110 fighters in total: 62 from One Piece and 48 from One Punch Man, along with 50 arenas inspired by both universes.
The two groups of characters do not play exactly the same way. One Piece fighters mainly rely on light, medium, and heavy attacks, throws, dodges, and a wide range of special moves inspired by their signature techniques. Their power gauge is mainly used to unleash their strongest Super attacks. One Punch Man characters, on the other hand, use several combo chains and often consume energy for their special moves; they can generally recharge their power gauge manually before unleashing their most devastating techniques. Some fighters also have transformations or special modes that change their abilities.
The roster includes a large number of famous characters. On the One Piece side, you can play as Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Usopp, Chopper, Nico Robin, Franky, Brook, Jinbe, Ace, Shanks, Whitebeard, Blackbeard, Doflamingo, Boa Hancock, Trafalgar Law, Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, and many more. The One Punch Man side includes Saitama, Genos, Garou, Tatsumaki, Fubuki, Silver Fang, Atomic Samurai, Metal Bat, King, Speed-o’-Sound Sonic, Boros, Deep Sea King, Orochi, Black Sperm, Platinum Sperm, and others. Several characters are also available in different versions or transformations.
Several game modes are available. Arcade Mode lets you fight through a series of CPU-controlled opponents, while Survival Mode challenges you to win consecutive battles while carrying part of your remaining health from one fight to the next. Training Mode is ideal for learning the controls and the many special techniques available to each character. A 2-player Versus Mode allows two players to fight on the same computer, while Cooperation and Co-op Survival modes let you team up against the AI. Spectator Mode also lets you watch two CPU-controlled fighters battle each other.
