Word games, and more generally letter ones, are among the oldest board games and have a very large number of followers all around the world. The most famous of them, Scrabble, has existed for nearly a century, is played everywhere on Earth and even at a competition level.

There are of course many word puzzles among the online games, although the vast majority is unfortunately only available in English and therefore hardly playable by non-bilingual foreign people.
