The Freak Circus is a horror visual novel for mature audiences, where a simple encounter in the street will pull you into an increasingly terrifying story before you even realize what is happening.
A strange traveling circus is about to arrive in town. For the past few days, its performers have been handing out flyers, showing off a few acrobatic tricks, and drawing plenty of attention with their eccentric costumes, far removed from the usual image of a clown. But the arrival of the Freak Circus of Horrors is not welcomed by everyone, especially as rumors begin to spread following a recent disappearance.
When you see a passerby verbally attacking one of the performers, you decide to step in and defend him. This silent clown with a disturbing gothic look is named Pierrot, and it will not be long before your paths cross again. Intrigued by him and holding a free ticket, you eventually decide to attend a performance of this mysterious circus for adults. A decision you may soon regret...
Because Pierrot is not alone. Harlequin, his rival on stage, soon enters your life and drags you into a competition that is as twisted as it is dangerous. Your choices shape your relationship with both characters and can lead the story in very different directions.
With its yandere themes, jumpscares, and sometimes violent or disturbing content, The Freak Circus mixes toxic romance with psychological horror in a story where attraction and fear quickly begin to blur together.
