Released in arcades in 1998, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes is a 2D crossover fighting game that brings Marvel superheroes face to face with some of Capcom’s most iconic characters. The third game in the series, it features fast-paced and spectacular team battles, with character switching, special attacks, and support characters that can be called into the fight.
On the Marvel side, Captain America, Gambit, Hulk, Spider-Man, Venom, War Machine, and Wolverine are all ready for battle. Capcom answers with Ryu, Chun-Li, Zangief, Mega Man, Morrigan, Captain Commando, Jin Saotome, and Strider Hiryu. Battles are fought in teams, allowing you to switch characters during a match. You can also temporarily call on one of 22 special assist characters, including Cyclops, Thor, Magneto, and Arthur from Ghosts 'n Goblins.
More curious players can also unlock several secret fighters directly from the character selection screen by entering specific command combinations, including Orange Hulk, Red Venom, Gold War Machine, Shadow Lady, Lilith, and Roll.
